About me
An engineer’s foundation.
A founder’s mindset.
I’m Masoud, a GTM Engineer based in Toronto. I’ve studied software engineering, built a business, and run growth marketing. Today, I bring those experiences together to build the systems behind growth.
My background is in software engineering and engineering management. I like understanding how things work: tracing a problem back to its source, figuring out how the pieces fit together, and building something useful. That curiosity has followed me into every role.
I’ve also built a business from scratch. I founded Farnian, a digital marketing agency that grew to serve more than 600 clients across Iran and Turkey. Finding customers, hiring a team, and being responsible for the result taught me to think beyond my own job description. I still approach work that way.
Then there’s the hands-on growth experience. As the first marketing hire at Browse AI, I helped grow the user base from 15,000 to more than 500,000 in two years. I ran campaigns, worked on onboarding and lifecycle emails, and spent plenty of time with acquisition costs and conversion rates. I know what it feels like to be the person relying on the tools and data to make a decision.
Those experiences come together in GTM engineering. When I build lead scoring, routing, reporting, or automation, I think about how it works, who will use it, and what it needs to accomplish for the business. I enjoy writing the code, but seeing someone use what I’ve built to do their job better is the rewarding part.
Today, I’m at Tailscale, building the data and systems behind expansion and partnerships. It brings together a lot of what I enjoy: technical problems, commercial context, and the chance to take an idea through to something people use.

Outside work, I like exploring emerging technology, planning trips, and tinkering with home automation. Apparently, building systems follows me home.
